Frequently asked questions
Which players show the chapters?
Apple Podcasts, Overcast, Pocket Casts and other podcast players in MP3 (ID3 CHAP), and VLC and foobar2000 in M4A too. We also write chapters to OGG and FLAC.
Can I paste chapters from text?
Yes. Choose Paste from text and paste lines like “00:00 Intro” and “12:30 Interview” – from an episode description, for example.
Do chapters move when I cut the audio?
Yes. When you cut out a part, the chapters after it move along, so they still land on the same spot in the speech.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Audio and recordings are processed right in your browser and never leave your device. Only the tool itself is downloaded from our server, the same for everyone. More in the privacy policy.
