Frequently asked questions

How much louder will it get?

Enough for the loudest point to reach −1 dB. If the recording has one loud spot, it only gets a little louder – then the compressor in the editor helps.

Won’t the audio distort?

No. A limiter makes sure the signal never clips – even if you boost the audio by more decibels in the editor.

Can I boost just part of a recording?

Yes. In the editor, select a part and in Effects choose a volume change or boost just for the selection.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. Audio and recordings are processed right in your browser and never leave your device. Only the tool itself is downloaded from our server, the same for everyone. More in the privacy policy.
