Frequently asked questions
How precise is the cut?
Down to a single sample – zoomed in, you can see the individual waves. You can move the selection with the mouse, a finger or the keyboard, and the time is shown in milliseconds.
Will the audio quality get worse?
Not at all with WAV and FLAC. MP3 and M4A are re-encoded after cutting at the quality you choose – at 192 kbps and above you won’t hear a difference.
Can I undo a cut?
Yes. The Undo button (Ctrl+Z) undoes up to the last 200 steps, and the original file never changes.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Audio and recordings are processed right in your browser and never leave your device. Only the tool itself is downloaded from our server, the same for everyone. More in the privacy policy.
