Frequently asked questions

What kind of noise does it work on?

Best on steady noise – fans, hum, traffic, wind in the microphone – and it also handles room echo. It won’t remove background music or other voices.

High quality or Fast?

High quality (DeepFilterNet) sounds more natural, and its model (9 MB) is downloaded only the first time. Fast (RNNoise) suits very long recordings on an older phone. The Gentle option keeps a bit of the ambience.

Does it work on music too?

The network is tuned for speech. Don’t use it on music – it would take away instruments.

Can I remove noise from just one part?

Yes. In the editor, select a part and in Effects choose Reduce noise just for the selection.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. Audio and recordings are processed right in your browser and never leave your device. Only the tool itself is downloaded from our server, the same for everyone. More in the privacy policy.
