Frequently asked questions
Will converting from MP3 improve the quality?
No. What the MP3 lost, no conversion can bring back. WAV is useful when a program won’t open another format, or for further editing.
16 or 24 bits?
16 bits is CD quality and is enough for listening. 24 bits gives headroom for further volume changes and effects.
Why is WAV so big?
It’s uncompressed – a minute of stereo audio takes about 10 MB. For a smaller lossless file, choose FLAC.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Audio and recordings are processed right in your browser and never leave your device. Only the tool itself is downloaded from our server, the same for everyone. More in the privacy policy.
