Changelog
What’s new in Peekless Audio. The current version is 1.0 from October 14, 2026.
First version of Peekless Audio
Cut and merge audio, convert to MP3, M4A, WAV, OGG and FLAC, multiple tracks, recording, noise reduction, vocal removal, speech transcription with speakers and chapters – all right in your browser, with nothing uploaded to a server.
New
- Convert audio to MP3, M4A (AAC), WAV (16 or 24-bit), OGG (Opus) and FLAC with a choice of quality, channels and sample rate – including audio from MP4 and MOV videos.
- Bulk edits: noise reduction (the DeepFilterNet neural network, or the fast RNNoise), volume normalization to −16 LUFS or to the maximum, fades, removing silence at the edges and shortening long pauses.
- Merge several files into one in the order of the list, even from different formats.
- Waveform editor: selection, zoom, editing (cut, copy, paste, trim, insert silence, split), moving clips, fades and 200 undo steps.
- Effects on a selection or a whole track: volume, normalization, noise reduction, silence removal, speed and pitch, an equalizer with presets, a compressor, reverse and mono.
- Separating vocals from music with the Spleeter model: a karaoke version, vocals only, or both on two tracks.
- Multiple tracks with volume, pan, mute and solo; ducking automatically lowers music under speech.
- Record from the microphone to a new track or at the cursor, with a choice of microphone, a level meter and a countdown.
- Speech transcription with the Whisper model right on your device, with the time of each word: text-based editing, filler word removal and download as TXT, SRT and VTT.
- Speaker identification in the transcript: paragraphs by speaker, renaming, and names in the TXT and subtitles.
- Chapters for podcasts and audiobooks: markers on the timeline, written to MP3, M4A, OGG and FLAC, as “00:00 Intro” text and as JSON.
- iPhone ringtones (M4R up to 40 s with fades) and tag editing – title, artist, album, year, genre and album cover.
- Saving without clipped peaks: the loudest parts are smoothly lowered, so the audio never crackles.
- Work in progress is saved encrypted in your browser: after reloading the page or closing the tab, you pick up right where you left off, even with an interrupted recording.
- Bulk processing with ZIP download and sharing on phones, installation as an app and offline use.
