Remove silence from audio
Long pauses are cut out of the recording, leaving a natural gap between words. You can also remove silence only at the start and end.

Frequently asked questions
What counts as silence?
A part quieter than the chosen threshold (−45 dB by default) and longer than the set length. Shorter pauses between words stay.
Won’t the speech get cut off?
No. A quarter of a second of each pause remains and cuts go only through silence, so words stay whole and speech flows naturally.
Can it be just for the start and end?
Yes. Switch to At the start and end – the middle of the recording stays unchanged.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Audio and recordings are processed right in your browser and never leave your device. Only the tool itself is downloaded from our server, the same for everyone. More in the privacy policy.
